Live update service

The TYPOlight live update service is an affordable third party service provided by iNet Robots Ltd. & Co. KG. It allows you to update your installation with a only few clicks in the back end and without having to download an archive or to use an FTP client to upload new files.

System maintenance

Open the back end and go to the system maintenance module.

If you have modified core files, you should list the files of the archive before running the update, so you can check whether any of your modifications will be overwritten.

Creating a backup

You can have TYPOlight create a backup of the old files, so you can rollback the live update.

Installing the update

TYPOlight automatically installs the new files and folders. Note that this requires write permissions and you have to use the Safe Mode Hack if there are any access restrictions on your server!

Your installation is up to date

After running the live update, your installation is up to date.
